Graphartixry is a combination of two words: "Graphics", which means, according to the dictionary.com, "a product of the graphic arts, such as a drawing or print", and "Artistry" (turned as "Artixry"), which means "a skill or creative ability".
Graphartixry is a brand that showcases Šhema's art, which includes not only illustrations but also his ideas, concepts, thoughts, creations, inventions or any other form of artistic expression that falls within his artist's catalog. It's a platform and a means of expression for his reflections on the world.
Šhema is a self-taught draughtsman, conceptual artist, graphic designer & painter. He is multi-faceted, producing a wide range of drawings, from the realistic to the symbolic and the expressive. He uses drawing paper and pencil and digital tablet and pen for the most part. From graffiti on paper to portraits and oil paintings, he has evolved and honed his skills to get to where he is today.
Drawing for Šhema began in his school book, where he would draw human heads and noises, until it became a real hobby.
Graphartixry as a brand represents the use of imagination without limits to create spaces with unlimited possibilities. It is synonymous with creativity, inventiveness and expression, and tends to break the existing state of societal norms without judging them, denying them or having to oppose everything around them.
Even if they don't have the same subject or are not inspired by the same ideas, Šhema's works have something in common. They are all the result of real reflection and aim to highlight a certain message.
Nothing illustrated is the result of chance. That's why he has grouped them together under one banner, so that he can give art a certain direction and a life among so many others. But also, from a branding and business point of view, it makes sense. It's easier to understand.
The brand started out as Pieces & Graphartixry, Pieces being another word for "works of art". It could also mean "a piece of the puzzle", meaning that each work of art is a piece of its own artistic puzzle.
